Kids Week also offers an exciting programme of activities, giving young theatre fans the chance to go behind the scenes and discover how the magic of theatre is made. These include Kids Week Curtain Calls where all Kids Week bookers in attendance can stay for a post-show Q&A or demonstration after the show, as well as Kids Week Workshops on an array of theatrical skills, from dancing, singing and acting, to science, magical illusions, game creation and puppetry!
Emma D’Souza, Kids Week founder and Executive Director (Audiences & Commercial) at Society of London Theatre & UK Theatre, said:
“A trip to the theatre is something everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy – and programmes like Kids Week play a vital role in ensuring as many young people as possible have early access to the arts. Having founded the initiative in 1998, I’m incredibly proud that Kids Week is now inspiring a second generation of theatre fans, with many who attended as children in the earlier years now returning to share the experience with their own children.
“With thousands of tickets still available, there’s no better time to book something special to enjoy with the family this summer – especially if you can be flexible with dates and shows. Some of the best Kids Week memories are created in those unexpected moments, by those who are willing to try something new!”
Kids Week bookers with access requirements should contact the theatre box offices directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information; contact details can be found on the Kids Week website. Theatre Tokens can be redeemed against Kids Week tickets. Kids Week tickets are available exclusively at OfficialLondonTheatre.com.
