Exciting opportunities for pupils in Yorkshire

Two key attractions in Yorkshire both owned and operated by Merlin Entertainments; The York Dungeon and Scarborough Sea Life have launched an exciting new partnership with Ebor Academy Trust.

Ebor are always seeking exciting new ways to develop specialist expertise so that the pupils attending their 15 academies throughout Yorkshire will receive exciting opportunities to learn whilst having access to exciting experiences.

Pupils have already enjoyed visits to The York Dungeon and teachers have visited Scarborough Sea Life as part of their science curriculum working group.

Stuart Jarman, General Manager of the York Dungeon says: “At the heart of our experiences is always FUN but we also recognise that learning can be fun and we are working with Ebor to develop an exciting learning offer for all pupils to enjoy.”

Rob Barr, General Manager of Scarborough Sea Life added: “Children are at the heart of our experience at the Sea Life Centre and this partnership gives us the opportunity to enhance our offer.”

Ebor Academy Trust will be able to gain access to the attractions as well as have the full support of the staff and expertise from the two brands.

Richard Ludlow, Chief Executive of Ebor Academy Trust, based in York, said: “We are always seeking different ways to engage with our communities for the benefit of our children. Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do and we welcome this partnership with key attractions in our area, so that pupils have greater access to some unique learning opportunities.”
