Thomas Hopkins Productions (THP) is delighted to announce an exclusive industry presentation of Step By Step, a brand-new British comedy by two-time Olivier nominee and Tony® Award nominee Peter Quilter (Glorious!, End of the Rainbow, Judy). The presentation will take place on Wednesday, 24 September at Soho Theatre.

The play will feature a stellar cast:
Denise Welch (Coronation Street, Waterloo Road, Boy Meets Girl, Hollyoaks)
Gaynor Faye (Playing The Field, Fat Friends, Coronation Street, The Syndicate, The Inheritance)
Lorraine Bruce (Denise in all four seasons of The Syndicate)

The production will be directed by the acclaimed Sarah Frankcom, former Artistic Director of the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester (2008–2019). Her celebrated body of work includes acclaimed collaborations with Maxine Peake (Hamlet, Miss Julie, A Streetcar Named Desire, Happy Days) and premieres of plays by Simon Stephens, including the Olivier Award-winning On the Shore of the Wide World.

Three women go on a 2-day hike together up a hill, as a memorial to a recently deceased friend. Each woman carries an inscribed stone to place as a monument at the peak. But they have to get there first – and the climb will be as challenging, unexpected, ridiculous and  hilarious as life itself…

Produced by Thomas Hopkins Productions (This Bitter Earth, Glorious!, The Talented Mr Ripley).
