Nominations announced for Inaugural Casting Awards in February

The Casting Directors’ Guild (CDG) in partnership with Spotlight is pleased to announce the nominations for its inaugural Casting Awards, which will take place on Tuesday 12 February 2019 at Ham Yard Hotel London. This new event will be the first UK Awards ceremony to celebrate the significant achievements of casting in the fields of Theatre, TV, Film and Commercials. The nominations are:

The 2019 CDG Award for Best Casting in a Theatre production sponsored by The Stage

  • Sophie Parrott for An Octoroon (National Theatre Transfer)
  • Wendy Spon and Jacob Sparrow for Follies (National Theatre)

The nominated productions premiered between 1 September 2017 and 31 August 2018 and have been submitted by members of the Casting Directors’ Guild, who will now vote for a winner in each category.
